HOT FUNK BOYS is D'JMC (Jean-Marie Carrabba). He was born in Rome (Italy) in 1982; he is half Italian, half French.
He has left Italy since 1998; Paris (France), Oslo (Norway), San Diego (California, USA) are the cities where the very young “H.F.B.” started to get on touch and to work in the night business.
In 2001 he moved to London (UK) where he started to play as dj and to work as a promoter for some of the best the best HOUSE-MUSIC-NIGHT around all over the London Scene. Some of
this are: COLOSSEUM, FABRIC, A:M, ORANGE, THE END, GETTO, BEYOND, THE FRIDGE, TRADE, THE EGG, TURNMILLS, ...etc.
The first HOT FUNK BOYS residence in London was at JUICE, a weekly party made at the YATCH CLUB (in the middle of the river Tames, in central London).

As soon as HOT FUNK BOYS had begun to win fame, he started to sound around. He made short
seasons at FACTORY, COLOSSEUM, HIDDEN CLUB, AREA (the old-one), and some of the bars around Soho and Breaklane.
During the 2005 that HOT FUNK BOYS created his own party: DJ-KLUB.
Thanks to the DJ-KLUB he won the trust of a club owner who decided to offer him a full-time dj-residence in Spain (Palma De Mallorca). In 2006 HOT FUNK BOYS and his DJ-CLUB moved to the Balearic islands. In Palma he has built up as well his studio/home: the “DJ-HOUSE” where he has started to produce his own music since 2007, together with the SENKAI-STUDIO and PJ-STUDIO (Perugia-Italy).HOT FUNK BOYS 's music is on sell at: WWW.BEATPORT.COM (JUNO RECORD,...etc).

In 2008 HOT FUNK BOYS has signed his first recording contract with DARKSIDE DIGITAL RECORDS, 2REAL, EXPMENTAL REC.
His second single (DRUGSCOPE – 1original mix – 2instrumental mix – out on DARKSIDE D.) has travelled round the world, also thanks to Sebastian Ingrosso, who choose DRUGSCOPE in March 2009 for his top-10-chart
(Hot Funk Boys # drugscope % instrumental mix – N°3°). DRUGSCOPE has been sounded for over 2 months on Spanish radio stations like GLOBAL FM and FLAIX FM (world-wide from Balearic thanks to internet). It has also been played in London's main clubs and afterhours, in Miami last spring/summer 2009, at AMNESIA during the opening party for summer 2009, in Perugia/Foggia/Milan/Alessandria/...(ITALY), in most of Mallorca's venues, ...etc.

All the man-spoken-vocals in the HOT FUNK BOYS's songs are recorded at SENKAI-STUDIO
using Hot Funk Boys own voice (HOUSE CRIMINAL, DRUGSCOPE original mix, FREAKIN' LOVE).
In special occasions he brings a female-dj behind the desk to give a different touch to his DJ-SET and as well to use female-voices for some vocals in studio (second versions of CROSS THE LINE, DRUGSCOPE - trash dillers remix, FREAKIN'LOVE ), or DJ-SET-LIVE-VOCAL.

In 2008/2009 HOT FUNK BOYS participated as dj and speaker in different radio program for the GLOBAL FM since he was the owner of DJ-KLUB (which has hosted in its room, 3/4 weekly clubs-nights over the last 3and half years).
D'JMC (Jean Marie Carrabba) became “HOT FUNK BOYS” around 2001 in London, when, next to his mentors (George Mitchell & Steve Ritch), he realized he was gonna do in his life just what he was doing better: FEEL THE MUSIC, be HOT & FUNK ....
Since he was a BOY his desire has always been to be DJ, PRODUCER, VOCALIST ... There it came the Pluralia tantum concentrated in the “S” of HOT FUNK BOYS.

On the thirty-first of July 2007, at the age of 24, HOT FUNK BOYS got his first “very important”
set; thanks to some dj-sets he made in the summers of 2004/2005/2006/2007 at the BAR AZULI & TENAX BAR (Ibiza) and the great work he did since 2006 with his DJ-KLUB (Mallorca).
HOT FUNK BOYS played the closing-set of the RED-BOX at SPACE (IBIZA) during the CARL COX BIRTHDAY-NIGHT (“Thusdays-Carl Cox & friends at Space” with Angels Of Love, Denny Tenaglia, Carl Cox).

Between January 2008 and May 2009 HOT FUNK BOYS used to play once a week back2back with “YAS”. She was the female voice of CROSS THE LINE, DRUGSCOPE – trash dillers remix” and the main vocalist of FREAKIN'LOVE.
